Pregnant singer Jewel has been released from the hospital after being involved in a two-car accident in Texas.

The accident happened Friday morning when Jewel's car was hit by a fire truck on its way to put out a grass fire. The fire truck hit her car on the passenger side.

Jewel's rep released a statement saying Jewel and her baby are both fine. No word on if the crash knocked her nose and teeth straight.

HBO is making a movie about the 2008 election and Julianne Moore has been cast to play Sarah Palin.

Sure, Julianne is no Tina Fey in terms of likeness level, but Tina is a comedic actress and probably wouldn't fit well in a dramatic movie. We think Mariska Hargitay also could have been a good choice, but when you are able to get an actress of Julianne's caliber, you have to be happy about that.

"60 Minutes" super hottie journalist Lara Logan was raped and beaten in Egypt on February 11 during the celebration following the resignation of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak.

Poor Lara was covering the celebration at Tahrir Square for "60 Minutes" when she was separated from her security team (they're totally fired), and "suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault", according to CBS News.

Lara was finally rescued by a group of women and about 20 Egyptian soldiers. She flew back to the United States the next morning and is still recovering in the hospital.

Ashlee Simpson has filed for divorce from Fall Out Boy bassist, Pete Wentz, citing "irreconcilable differences". This according to court documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court.

Ashlee is also seeking custody of their two-year-old son, Bronx.

The marriage didn't quite last three years, about six months less than her sister Jessica Simpson's marriage to Nick Lachey.

Oh Lindsay Lindsay Lindsay.... Lindsay Lohan will be charged with grand theft according to Deputy District Attorney John Lynch.

Lindsay is accused of stealing an expensive necklace on January 22 of this year from a jewelry store in Venice, California.

Since Miss Lohan is still on probation for her prior criminal misdeeds, if convicted of the latest charges, she could end up doing three years in state prison, as oppose to the two-week county jail stay she had before.

Perhaps instead of threatening to sue the TV show Glee for calling her in their Super Bowl episode, Dina Lohan should help her daughter get on the right track, before she completely ruins her life or die trying.
