Rebecca Sara "Becki" Newton is an American actress. Newton is currently a regular cast member of Ugly Betty.

Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Becki Newton was raised in Guilford, Connecticut. She began performing musicals and plays at local theaters, and studied at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with a BA in European History. She then moved to New York City and landed several roles in television commercials, such as one done for Olive Garden.

Newton currently plays the role of Amanda Tanen in the comedy-drama series, Ugly Betty, and, with co-star Michael Urie, is co-host of the Official Ugly Betty Podcast. In the episode "Sofia's Choice", Newton did a dual role as Ruthie, a frumpy assistant at another magazine. In Season 2, it was revealed she was the illegitimate daughter of Fey Sommers.

Newton met her future husband, Chris Diamantopoulos, in a subway station in New York.

Her older brother, Matt Newton, is an actor who has appeared in several independent films, including Dahmer. Her mother, Jennifer, is an award-winning artist, and her aunt, Stephanie Chase, is a classical violinist.
