Akane Soma, also spelled Akane Souma, (相馬茜), born in Fukuoka, Japan, is one of Japan's most popular and well known race queens and J-pop idol.
Akane was first a racequeen from 1998-2002 with First Racing Team, Team Xanavis and finally with Yellow Corn where she had become one of the most famous race queens in Japan. She then started her J-pop career with Delicious Capricious (with fellow race queens Toko Ushikawa and Kazumi Kondo) but then moved a solo music career, with her release “In and Out of Love” in October 2004. She has also posed for two non-nude Japanese Penthouse photo shoots in early 2004. Akane Soma has been very active in Taiwan, learning Mandarin Chinese, building her fan base there getting into acting.
